We are delighted to share the highlights from last month’s 20th-anniversary celebration at Newport Harbour. It was a joyous occasion, filled with heartfelt moments and cherished memories as we honoured our dedicated team members and residents who have been with us since the very beginning.
Honoring Our Dedicated Team
A special part of the celebration was recognizing our 12 original team members with long service awards. Their unwavering dedication and compassion have been the cornerstone of Newport Harbour’s success. We are immensely grateful for their years of service and commitment to creating a warm and nurturing environment for our residents.
Our Site Leader, Barb Lambert, was not planning to be recognized at the event, but Kathy, our VP of Operations, surprised her with a well-deserved special recognition for her outstanding leadership and contributions over the past two decades. Her dedication has been instrumental in fostering a sense of community and belonging at Newport Harbour.

Celebrating Long-Time Residents
We were also thrilled to honour June Funk, a resident who has called Newport Harbour her home for the past 20 years. June’s presence and vibrant spirit have enriched our community, and we are so grateful to have her with us.
Additionally, Dr. Stinton, who has been with us from the very start, received special recognition. His dedication and care have been invaluable to our residents and staff alike.
